"Minutes into the show's opening, I was excited about the concert, as I love Chrisette and Sydnee Washington! However, my excitement quickly turned to annoyance and outrage. I found Chris Michaels, the host from WGCI, to be rude and offensive throughout the entire show. As an African American in a room full of other African Americans, I was made uncomfortable by his excessive use of the "N" word. His judgment and choice of words were lacking in taste. Every word that came out of his mouth seemed in poor taste, whether it was profanity or the "N" word. His behavior was uncalled for and left a bitter taste in my mouth the whole time. While I admire Sydnee Washington and Chrisette, I was disappointed that they sang over tracks instead of having a live band. The most disappointing part was waiting an hour for Sydnee Washington to take the stage, with the host or sponsor trying to entertain us with pointless chatter. Despite unforeseen circumstances, I felt that I deserved some form of compensation for the debacle I experienced. This sentiment was shared by many patrons as we left the theater. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I suggest that Chris Michaels not be allowed to host another event until he understands that we, as adults, do not wish to be subjected to his foolishness during what should have been a mature, adult event."
